Mr Gary Maas

Meet Gary
Before entering Parliament, Gary has worked as a musician, teacher, lawyer, organiser, union secretary, and board director on commercial and not-for-profit boards.
Gary was prompted to run for Parliament because he believes that community matters. He wants to build fairer communities where people have access to good government initiatives, jobs and housing they need to build a secure future for themselves and their families.
The priorities Gary has for his community are jobs, education, health, public transport and roads.
Gary's vision for Victoria’s future is a fair, equitable and clever Victoria. He wants Victorians to have a clean energy future in which they can access secure work, the best hospitals, schools and TAFE, and a fast and efficient public transport and road networks. He wants to see a Victoria where government works to build fairer communities, where Victorians are housed securely and can make meaningful contributions to their community.
The areas of public policy that he is most passionate about are education, law reform, environment protection and climate change action, industrial relations, trade and creative industries.
