Chris Brayne was elected as the Member for Nepean at the 2018 Victorian State Election. Since his election, Chris’ priorities have included ensuring students on the Mornington Peninsula are given every opportunity to succeed through modern and fit for purpose facilities, upgrading the Mornington Peninsula’s public transport network and protecting the Peninsula’s pristine beautiful environment.
Chris has lived on the Mornington Peninsula his entire life, having attended Flinders Christian Community College in Tyabb, Victoria. At university, he studied a Bachelor of International Relations and a Diploma of Language in Bahasa Indonesia. He has been a Camp Councillor in Pennsylvania, USA and had a weekend job at the Dromana Drive In. In 2017, Chris participated in the Internship program at The Carter Center, founded by former US President Jimmy Carter, in Atlanta, Georgia which the Princeton Review has listed as ‘one of the best internships in the United States.’
Having just turned 25 when he was elected, Chris is the youngest Member of the 59th Victorian Parliament, and one of the youngest in the State’s history.
