Mr Darren Cheeseman

Meet Darren
Darren was first elected to the Legislative Assembly in 2018. Before entering the Victorian Parliament, Darren was the federal member for Corangamite from 2007 to 2013.
Darren was prompted to run for Parliament because he felt outraged by political attacks on the pay and conditions of hardworking Victorians.
The priorities Darren has for his community and constituents are to deliver the infrastructure the community needs to ensure that South Barwon can remain a great place to live, work and raise a family.
Darren’s vision for Victoria’s future is for all Victorians to have strong rights and safety in the workplace, and to resist attacks on worker’s rights.
The area of public policy that he is most passionate about is delivering the infrastructure to support the population growth in southern Geelong. He wants to ensure that the community remains a fantastic, liveable place to work, raise a family and retire.
