Before entering Parliament, Louise farmed grains and oilseeds, was a company director primarily of health-related organisations and the head of the Food and Environment Unit at IPA.
Louise ran for Parliament because she believes strongly in the values of her party, including reward for effort and equality of opportunity.
The priorities she has for her community are to ensure that everyone in Ripon has access to quality services, facilities, and that their needs and aspirations are heard in Spring Street. Louise says that the needs of country people are overlooked too often and that she works to reverse this.
Louise's vision for Victoria’s future is for Victorians to have built an enviable multicultural society, with world-class medical research and events that attract visitors from near and far. She says that Melbourne needs to regain the title of the world’s most liveable city and Victoria needs to regain its AAA credit rating.
The areas of public policy that she is most passionate about includes tax, public financial management and economic development.
