A fresh take on our heritage

14 May 2023 Watch: What's the story?

Two young Victorians have explored iconic features of Parliament House during the Australian Heritage Festival in a series of social media videos.

The annual festival is an opportunity for community members to immerse themselves in our state’s rich history and heritage.

This year, the Victorian Parliament’s community engagement team worked with media production company Youthworx to tell some of the stories behind historical elements of Parliament House.

After a call out to young Victorians, Vas Shipp and Khushi Jadhav were selected as presenters for the five-video series that asks: What’s the story?

The videos are being posted to Parliament’s social media channels, including Instagram and Facebook, over the course of the festival but will also be available in the longer term as a resource for people interested in finding out more about the history and heritage of Parliament House.

Head to Parliament’s YouTube channel to watch the short videos as they are posted.
