Sick pay guarantee

Mr TAYLOR: You should never have to choose between a day’s pay and your health, but for casual and contract workers that is the choice they face when they are sick. I am proud the Andrews Labor government have introduced an Australian first in the sick pay guarantee, giving eligible casual and contract workers 38 hours sick or carers pay. This is a pilot project, with all the admin work done by the state government, taking the pressure off businesses.
