Budget estimates hearings held at Parliament House

Treasurer outlines government spending plans for 2021-22.

Public hearings for the Victorian Government’s 2021-22 budget estimates have been held at Parliament House.

The Treasurer, Acting Premier and Government Ministers all appeared before the Public Accounts and Estimates Committee.

Each year the Committee examines the State Government’s spending and revenue raising plans set out in the State Budget.

These hearings provide the Committee with the opportunity to question Ministers and departmental representatives on their plans for the year ahead.

The public hearings returned to the Legislative Council Committee Room after being relocated to Queen’s Hall for the first time in 2020, due to the COVID‑19 pandemic.
