Constituency questions

Croydon electorate

Croydon electorate

David HODGETT (Croydon) (14:28): (22) My question is for the Minister for Transport and Infrastructure, and the question I ask is: Minister, when will the Cardigan Road, Mooroolbark, storage site, presently being used by the level crossing removal authority to store materials, be closed for good? As the minister knows, the Mooroolbark and Lilydale level crossings were removed in recent years, and the Croydon and Ringwood East crossings have now commenced the removal process. The Level Crossing Removal Project team have advised residents in Mooroolbark that the storage site on Cardigan Road, Mooroolbark, will be accessed 24/7 for the next three months to store materials from the Mont Albert and Surrey Hills projects, increasing the number of trucks travelling down already congested local roads and disturbing the peace for locals at all hours of the night and day. Minister, to provide some assurance of when this continual disruption will end, please advise when this site will be closed.
